It's all fun and games....

Until someone gets stuck in the mud.

Always helping....

Josh decided he has a new hobby now of wood working.  We got some older dressers from my brother in law and Josh is going to try to antique them.  Of course whenever paint is involved the kids refuse to be left out.

Carden takes his "jobs" very seriously.

David just wanted to paint everything, including his stroller, helmet, and quad :)

Snow! (well, sort of)

My parents were in town so we decided to take a trip to the Strawberry Cabin.  Unfortunately, we missed out on the snow.  It snowed when we were leaving but we didn't get to play in it much :(

I have to laugh at their mis-matched snow clothes.  We just don't use that stuff much in AZ!   Carden and David loved the snow at first and were throwing snowballs.  Then it was time to go inside and we discovered the heat doesn't work and the fireplace doesn't really warm things up either.  David was still having a good time, but Carden kept saying "I don't like the snow. I don't like it cold," and refused to leave the couch.  Turns out he was sick, so I think we'll try this again sometime :)

It's Raining!

So that means it's time to play!!

It was a wonderful time of year!

But I always get so sad when it's over.  Here are some of the fun things we did this year:

Decorated our tree!

Hmmm, I wonder who decorated this part of the tree?

Sang lots and lots of Christmas songs!

Decorated pine cones with glitter!

Someone please remind me next year to not make this a tradition! So much glitter every where!

Waited in line to meet Santa Clause!

Carden kept on saying "I don't know him! I don't know Santa!" He was very nervous.

But when it was his turn he was a pro and let Santa know right away that all he wanted for Christmas was a coal hopper and a rock quarry. :)

Decorated a gingerbread house and trees!

Davey did NOT like the hot tamales!

Left a plate of goodies for Santa!
Carden is 100% responsible for this plate.  I told him we needed to leave a plate of cookies, but that wasn't enough, I guess.  Carden gave Santa 2 oreos, 1 potato chip, a banana, a bag of chex mix, and a pineapple.  I'm sure Santa loved every bite :)

Opened presents!

Davey's new popper toy which he LOVES of course.

I hope you all had a Merry Merry Christmas as well!

The List

I forgot to post this earlier, but I still have to share Carden's christmas list from Christmas. The kid is hilarious!

batteries that aren't dangerous
a pizza cutter that isn't dangerous
troublesome trucks (from thomas)
Annie and Clarabel (thomas)
a sweatshirt
exercise shoes
exercise underoos
exercise weights
coal
a coal hopper
a  HEY S U (ASU) shirt for David
a shopping cart
a cup holder for his trike
another bike trailer (I guess ours is not good enough??)
plastic canning jars

Good thing he was too excited by his new thomas stuff to even notice that he didn't get a cup holder and pizza cutter :)
